Confirel participated in October in the prestigious SIAL Paris, the world's largest trade show for the food industry. For five days, more than 285,000 professionals from all over the world discussed the latest food trends and innovations and explored future solutions to the major challenges of tomorrow's food.
Our team presented our range of authentic Khmer products, including our Thnot and Kirum ranges, and received positive feedback from international custumers. New export opportunities await Confirel after this event. Dr. Hay Ly Eang, founder and president of the company, personally presented our products and interacted with visitors to the show.
Organized by Comexposium, SIAL Paris is part of SIAL Network, the world's largest network of trade shows dedicated to food and beverage. This year, SIAL Paris brought together 7,500 exhibitors representing 127 countries, on more than 270,000 m² of exhibition space, the equivalent of 100 hypermarkets. More than 400,000 products were presented by the exhibitors. Food innovations were in the spotlight, reflecting the trends of tomorrow and meeting consumers’ growing expectations for health, sustainability and simplicity.
SIAL Insights, an exclusive study carried out by the show in collaboration with its partners to analyze consumer expectations as well as trends in food innovation, out-of-home catering and retail on a global scale, highlighted the central importance of food in everyone’s life. According to this study, consumer expectations are structured around three main pillars: emotion (pleasure above all, the search for powerful tastes), connection (the strong return of conviviality after the forced pause of the pandemic) and attention (our relationship with food to take care of ourselves, others, the planet).
